Manufacturing & Distribution Companies Team Awareness
Workshop
One Day Interactive Workshop

PERSPECTIVE: An introductory one-day Team
Awareness interactive workshop with a focus to have the attendees understand
teams and group dynamics and group consensus by participating in an Adventure
Simulation exercise and utilizing a Group Process Questionnaire instrument to
analyze the group interaction process and develop action items that can be
applied back at their workplace to improve their cross-functional interpersonal
skills.
- Adventure Simulations are designed to promote and focus on:
Team building, managing different viewpoints and perspectives, influencing and
communications, agreeing on a team strategy, consensus decision making, and an
understanding of Team dynamics. Performance metrics are calculated for
individuals vs. the Team. Attendees can see the results of a team vs.
individual problem solving and decision-making capability.
- The Group Process Questionnaire is designed to analyze and
improve Team effectiveness in problem solving and decision making situations.
It provides a model for effective Team performance and identifies behaviors
that prevent a group from achieving its goals and highlights areas for
development. It is used to review the outcome of the Team simulation exercise
and also to develop action items that the attendees can implement back at their
work place to improve their daily efforts with formal or informal teams or
groups.
Subject matter to be presented includes: defining what makes a
team, characteristics of an effective team, why teams fail, and the impact of
teams in the future. The attendees will also work with a series of exercises
that will challenge how they feel, how they react to change, and test if they
can really think outside the box. The adventure team simulation and group
exercises give the attendees an opportunity to react to different situations
and demonstrate some of the issues presented that relate to their daily work
day.
WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE IN THE WORKSHOP? This
is a basic class on team/group interaction. Individuals that deal within a
formal, e.g., Software Selection/Implementation team, ERP project improvement
teams, and informal group scenarios will gain the benefits of attending the
class. The class is held at your location choice and should have a minimum of
12 to a maximum of 24 attendees.
