Methodology - This course will utilize a standardized and systematic method known as DMAIC (Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control), a formalized problem solving process. The DMAIC process can improve any type of process in any organization to improve its effeciency and effectiveness.

Define Opportunities - In this area you will learn what is needed to enable teams to identify and or validate their improvement project, illustrate their business processes, define customer requirements and prepare themselves to be an effective project team. You will answer the question, "What is important?"

Measure Performance - This section will teach you how to collect data that will assist in reviewing if you are meeting the customers critical requirements as well as the overall process performance. We will answer the question, "How are you doing?"

Analyze Opportunity - This area will aid you in understanding the root causes of variation as we review the results of our measurements pertaining to our defined customer requirements and processes. You will utilize provlem solving tools and a problem solving methodology. You will determine what is wrong.

Improve Performance - Here you will learn to identify, evaluate and select the right improvement solutions. You will also learn to develop a change management approach to assist the organization in adapting to the changes introduced through the solution implementation. We will focus on what needs to be done.

Control Performance - In this area you will learn to understand the importance of planning and executing against the plan then determine the approach to be taken to assure achievement of the targeted results. We will answer the question, "How do we guarantee performance?"

Interactive Learning - This course maximizes the learning experience by making application to each company's environment. This is accomplished through team discussion, case study analysis and highly experienced course leaders.
